Are there any difference between the 2 other than the buttstock? Does anybody have both or played with both to comment? Looking to get something fun after the 10/22 fiasco...

Can't help you but i put 300 Mini Mags through my GSG on the weekend with no failures . 1.500" 5 shot groups at 50 yards , scoped .

Essentially the same gun with different buttstocks. GSG comes with a lifetime warranty. Just buy some allen keys and screwdrivers so that you're ready when you need to take it down and clean it.

I don't have both but my gen2 SSC has been the most reliable firearm I own.... 500 rounds and not a hiccup.... officially 22 round magazines but I can consistently put in 24.

As stated, they are assentially the same. I have the ISSC MK22, and it's been fantastic. Great accuracy up to 50yds with only a red dot. I've fired a few rounds through the GSG. It functioned the same, and was flawless. Comes down to personal taste. Which one to you find looks the best?

wish i could say the same about my anschutz version. nothing but headaches.

Considering it's the better, more expensive version, that sounds odd. What exactly is it doing? I've put close to 2000rds of various bulk ammo through mine without a problem (that wasn't caused by me).

Light strikes, fte, ftf, broken bolt carrier jacket. Imho, the only thing that is higher quality about that version is the barrel. I really want to like this gun cause it looks so badass, but it isn't reliable for me. Waiting to see if a new bolt will do the trick.

The main differences other than the butt stock, are price and the lifetime warranty. The GSG-15 is about $80 less and has better fit and finish IMO
