GSG 15's $499.99 includes freight available Aug 1st

Went and handled the STG44 again, love the build. But the lower weight and side folder might be easier for my kids to use. So torn!!!

Yes, that's what I mentioned in responding to your other post: the sheer weight of the StG 44. For me the side folder is not that important. The buttstock of the StG 44 is very ergonomic and will fit the whole spectrum of human heights. I'm 5'11" and it fits my "cheek" very well, like being "glued". I guess the weight is the most important issue.
On the other hand, because of its weight, the StG 44 is an extremely stable platform during shooting. I presume that the GSG 15 being mostly polymeric (glass fiber reinforced polymer) and obviously lighter, might not be so stable.

Thanks, my larger of the two kids wants the 44 (our family are German and he likes the tie to history), just need to take him down to a shop to see how long he can hold it, as the 44s are so beefy.

Glad to see a postive review. I had an ISSC...it was a massive piece of unreliable garbage.

If this GSG model functions reliably I may well add one to my stable of fun for the cottage guns.
I too was disappointed with the issc. IM hoping for others to chime in wit theirs too for reliability

This GSG-15 appears to be simply an ISSC MK22 re-badged with a different buttstock (the Anshutz versions looked similar too). Does anyone have any info that this is any more than that?
Has GSG claimed they improved something on it?
This is an honest question: I'm trying to figure out why people are thinking they will function any differently that an ISSC? Same guts, same mags, or so it appears on the surface. Are they made in a different factory? I'm curious if there is a mfg of this rifle that is better than the rest.

FYI - I have the Anschutz version. The differences are the Anschutz match barrel and adjustable trigger pack, but otherwise identical to the ISSC version. I had a few light strikes at 1st but this ironed out over time. Otherwise, it's a good, solidly built gun with excellent balance. The mags are probably the best 22lr mags I've ever seen.

My understanding is that the 1st gen of ISSC's had major issues with light strikes, but that this was, for the most part, remedied in the 2nd gen of the gun. But I agree, I would be curious to know is GSG has refined the trigger pack for this gun.

I've got the GSG STG44 and I'm super happy with it. I wonder how the GSG 15 measures up to that if anyone here's tried both.

Have you shipped mine ? You took the payment soon this morning but no news from shipping ?
