GSG-16 adjustable trigger

DIY work and modifications that involve tapping holes typically void a warranty.

Youza.

Seeing how i already swapped in a mp5 lower, mp5 stock and grinded off the proof mark nub. Dont ever think i have warranty. Regardless, its a cheap 400$ .22 rifle. Half the semi auto .22 outnon the market dont run right for the first 100 rounds. Plus .22 rifles are easy to work on, unless i get an OOB or the bolt cracks i should be ok.

On that note, the mag springs are weak. If i load a full 24 rounds in, i doesnt feed the first 10 shots. After the 10 shots where the follower is half way up ish, then it runs like a sewing machine. Funny enough, the cheap pro mag that i got out of brownells works better than the oe mags

What if.... the trigger does NOT adjust?! And there is, in fact, no difference between ATI/BLS GSG-16s at all?!!

:runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway::runaway:

If that was the case, for all the other non adjustable trigger owners, drill just slight forward of this trigger pack, so thst you dont need a 10 foot long set screw to adjust it.

FYI I have 6 mags and not a single one acts that way when loaded with 24 rounds. Maybe it’s the luck of the draw but you may want to consider looking elsewhere for the cause of that.

The springs in mine are strong enough that if I force in a 25th round the bolt can’t even strip a round off the top.

Ummmm. Aren’t the mags 22 rounds, not 24? Maybe that’s your problem.

Nah it’s like all GSG stuff. They say 22 and it fits 24, the odd mag will fit 25.

The GSG-16 mags in particular are not pressed together very well in the middle and since they are so long, they can separate in the middle of you cram in too many rounds. So be careful.

I never counted when i loaded the mags, when it acts up i took a look and saw the follower went past 22. I tried all sorts of capacity, and it runs better than its less than 20 rounds. I did however get them to run ok ish after half a box of the federal blue box 525 rounders.
And yes, the gun is dripping wet.

Also noticed the mags are a little loose inside the magwell, if i hold the mag forward. It feeds better

But BLS promoted theirs as having 'adjustable triggers'. This to be implies an entirely different SKU than 'regular' GSG16s. Perhaps GSG does produce a different trigger set in other markets - I just didn't think the Canadian space is that big to justify. Then again, I suppose it was never described exactly what degree of adjustability was offered.

On the MSR rx22, the adjustability is on the trigger weight only. Trigger break and reset are still non adjustable.

With that in mind, i think the set screw driving down the trigger bow preload will help reduce the pull weight, maybe even reduce the pre travel a bit

I found the same thing. I loaded them to 19 or so and it picked up the first round much better. I can’t imagine cramming 24 in!

I watched a video about the 522 and the guy removed the load assist and said that after a bunch of different trouble shooting that solved all his feeding problems. He just kept the tab and inserted it to load then pulled it out again. I didn’t have a problem if I loaded a few less and was careful not to let my palm slow down the load assist thing if I was holding the front of the magwell on appx rounds 10-6 (just as the thing passes the bottom of my hand, felt it happen a few times)

At least we have you to hold them to account. Seems we're lucky you have a lot of spare time on your hands..

I'm not even in the ballpark of what qualifies as an active poster judging by my post count, which is lower than yours. But regardless, the reality is everyone on CGN could be doing something else. At least i worry about things I spend money on, while others choose to waste time telling strangers what they think of them...to each their own, right?

Dammmn Right. Who cares what other people post. I do this for fun and to kill time till my next gun comes in.

You, Sky, and Youza need a life. How about buying another gun if you are not happy with this, or this company? Nobody forcing you to buy them, and Jesus Christ you are beyond broken records. You sound like 3 super un happy people that all they do is sit at Tim Hortons and complain about life. And then wonder why its not getting better.
