Hey guys im wondering if anyone else from the community is having this problem or if its just me. I bought a SRC brand MP5 stock for my GSG16. I dremeled out the section needed in order for it to fit onto the rear receiver. The issue is the ribs on each side in the stock are much thinner then the channels that the retractable stock slides inside. So when I put the stock on and slide in that rear pin, the stock moves up and down.

Now my question is, does everyone have this problem with their brand of stock and if so did you just shim it? or is there a brand out there that has thicker ribs that stops the stock from moving so much.

I really don't want to shim the stock as I think that is super ghetto and not reliable. But the plastic wire stock that comes with this gun is just way to uncomfortable. Really want to find a well fitting fixed stock. I don't just want it for looks and have poor function.

Thanks for your time, and here are some pics.

So the rib on the inside of the stock is 3/16" and the slot it goes into is 3/8". What is the measurement of the rib on the inside of every one else's looking like?

I never had to Dremel anything out of the inside, just the shoulders.

Believe on mine, the ribs are the same as yours, but the molding is tighter. Even on the stock GSG stock, there is molding ribs on the bottom and top, inside the stock. To prevent it from wobbling. I think your stock is looser in those areas. And should be focusing on those area, rather than the slot.

I got my GSG back to do the measurements.. Was wrong, not the same as the ICS.

My CYMA stock rib is .3555 and my channel on the GSG is .3500

Wonder if you could make a spacer?
