It can be removed by unscrewing a small Allen head screw on the hand guard that holds it in. Then gently work the suppressor forward until it’s free. The faux suppressor is not threaded into the barrel. Trying to thread it out without loosening the key that keeps it retained will damage your firearm.

When it is removed, it exposes the stainless pencil barrel. The fake suppressor weights nearly nothing and ads some rigidity to the barrel.
