GSG-16 Trigger seized up

Hey folks,

So I bought a GSG-16 about a year ago for my girlfriend. We've put 300 rounds or so through it, but now the trigger is seized up. Feels like it's on safe even when it isn't and has barely any travel.

I took it apart and when looking at the FCR, the hammer is stuck back and will not come forward.

I tried adjusting the trigger screw, but it did nothing. I can push the hammer back a couple centimeters, but it won't go forwards.

Anyone else had this issue or have an idea how to fix it? I don't really know how to fully disassemble the FCR.

Have you removed the fire control selector to see if the plastic may have sheared or some other obstruction preventing you pulling the trigger?
 
I had one that did the same thing,,,, I took it completely apart,, the only way I could get the live round out. I found the bolt carrier,,, made of plastic,,, had a couple of screws missing and allowed the trigger mechanism to jam.... I just took pics sent them to blueline,,, did the repair myself instead of waiting for god knows how long to get it repaired or replaced... worked well after that had it for a couple of years but I would never buy another

Just checking if you pushed in the mag bar on the removed FCR when you pulled the trigger. If the bar is not pushed towards the FCR it will not release the hammer.

The GSG16 is a relatively simple rifle. Make sure to do a quick tear down and check the peices (bolt assembly like snubbie stated as well).
