I really like my GSG 16 with 9" barrel but it feels so cheap and breakable.

How does the Kriss Vector 22lr feel compared to the GSG??

I assume it feels like it is much higher quality for double the price. I may order one but hoping someone can provide info.

I'm in the same boat... like the compactness and light weight of the gsg16.
When the company actually starts selling the 9" i think IL pick one up and then buy the short kriss and do a head to head.
Biggest downfall is the 10 rd mags in the kriss

Yeah...I was going to buy the factory GSG but when I saw the Kriss I may get that instead. But still hoping for some comments here from people that have handled both.

i have both, gsg is because of the way its similar to an mp5, and vector is very unique.
gsg is very picky on the ammo you use, i tried almost all .22LR ammo, and the best ammo to use is cci minimags
the vector on the other hand, is very fun, with quality ammo, it shot reliable at 300 yards hitting a 6" plate.
i use the vector for competition and gsg for fun plinking.
hope that helps, if you need more info, just reply with questions.

Only thing they have in common is the round they shoot. Kriss .22 shares same parts as the centerfires other than the V system, so the .22 is a tank and flawless very well built firearm but heavy for .22lr. The Gsg 16 on the other hand is pot metal and cheap plastic.

Everyone that ran my Kriss commented on the weight being a issue for a plinker. It was a little awkward to carry around my property for use as a tool. But for plinking and competitive shooting the Kriss is a solid choice, accurate, reliable, and it's a Kriss so outstanding quality and also super easy to clean.

Love the Kriss, I have the limited edition. It’s heavy in the front end but built like a tank, reliable and uses all of the same parts as its bigger brothers.

Some friend have the GSG’s, they’re much lighter but seem to be ok overall as well.

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like the Kriss is much better built, heavier, but worth it from the few replies here. I think I will get one.

im for sure be buying the gsg-16 factory 9" but i will wait for the kriss to go on sale. $1000 for a 22 is a bit much.

Any more details on the factory short gsg coming out? I can't seem to find any info. Thanks!

they landed here about a month ago but the rcmp lab rejected the attached stock they used from gsg-15 so they resubmitted one with buffer which i prefer cos so many options available. its now matter of waiting for approval. crossing me fingers, lol.

Well that sunk my battleship. Mine usually START at $1000 before I add the cool parts.

lol, im curious what are some of your 22s ?

HA! Yeah, CZ MTR that I then dumped into a KRG Bravo, rail, knobs, blah blah blah. Of course 10/22s just start throwing money. Anything that says Kidd or Volquartsen. I've built a 9' backpacker up with k&V bits and its pushing 2k. Doesn't take long. And then there is the Vudoo. ;)

I've got a 9" GSG16 from CSC and its so much fun! Bought about the Kriss, but I don't want both.

I have my 4th Kriss 22lr incoming and my GSG-16 is on the chopping block, so yeah, they are pretty awesome!

There is a newer version of the 16 out now, maybe it's been around for a while I dunno, but it has a round Mlok forend that looks much better then the rails.

↑↑↑ That looks like the original forend with the rails removed. You can see the raised screw insert points on it.

Is there anywhere to keep up to date on their status?

I am checking everyday on the dlask 9" version but if a factory version is on the way I may just wait for it.
