From what I have read also, yes, the slide assm is exactly the same as GSG 1911 .22 pistols; aluminum alloy so definitely lighter; makes sense that the action will be shorter too.
I only know what I red here. Dlask makes an upgrade kit. They seem particular with types of ammo preferring the more potent type. I tried the complete gun once as people at the range let others try out their guns. It was noticeably lighter so I'm guessing aluminum alloy construction of some sort. Makes sense in a blowback. Other units have only a portion of the slide recoil.
I had one, It worked well as long as you use a HV round nose bullet. I filed the tabs on the back of the follower to keep the bullets from nose diving.
The slide only goes back 2 or so inches. Not much really needed for 22LR.
Greetings
IMHO i say spend the extra and get a dedicated 1911 trainer
add the ZRTS kit and perhaps this spare parts kit
never know how scarce parts will be in the future

against? Is there a maximum number we can have?
I say every restricted purchase is a vote for pistol and AR-15 ownership in Canada, and in a broader sense, for firearms ownership in Canada period.
My GSG 1911 likes federal. But you wont get thru a mag without 2 to 3 jams with wildcats.
