Boy all the reading of different posts sure paid off in my choice of a 22 pistol. I received my GSG today from Armco and wasted no time in trying it out. My wife and I tried everything in it, American Eagle, CCI Mini Mags , Stingers, and Federal Bulk ammo from Crappy Tire. I am very impressed with this 22 pistol. It digested everything with out a hiccup, it failed to strip a round off the mag once and that was because I did not seat it properly.
We ran into two guys up at the range and they had a Norinco AR but they also had two GSG 1911 22 pistols. Well I took up my Mares Laig to try out as well in 45 Colt, I let each of them try it out and let me tell you they liked that two.
So one of the guys comes over to me and asks if I would like to borrow one of his GSG's so that I could shoot a dual round on my target!!! Yup I felt like the Phantom from Skull Island (Dated Myself lol !!!) Wow that was fun.
I can see that I will be getting more mags soon as I was a pain to stop and load the only one I had.
Well made pistol, very dependable so far. I intend to shoot the heck out of it and can only hope my kimber conversion is as good. The sights need to be changed as I hate the plastic ones that came with the pistol but they are doable. The Mag is easy to load and the arm fit my BlackHawk holster like the big boys.
If you are looking for a fun 22 pistol you have to try this one.We ran about 300 rnds. through it today and it liked everything.

I have one and love it.

As far as .22 ammo is concerned; Use anything that is copper-jacketed. Do not use any ammo that is bare lead.

Take your allen key and the other two sights with you as the one on my pistol was way to high so the pistol's POI was low. I swaped it out for the low and I am right on point of impact to my point of aim now. Don't tighten the set screw to much as the sight will rise after all it is plastic hence my question as to what sight can replace the factory ones.
Latter- have a blast.

Yes +2 for the Blackhawk Serpa but I also use the Cross Breed holster I/B. Check out the applications on you tube it fits the GSG as well as a full size 1911 and Commander types. I really like it.

I saw on youtube where a new GSG 1911 22 was unboxed and a threaded barrel end cap came with the pistol then on another site saw where a bird cage flash hider could be attached to the end of the barrel. My pistol never came with the adapter are they not allowed in Canada?? Did anyone with one of these pistols get the adapter with theirs? I would like to purchase one if allowed. The thread is 1/2 X 28 I think.
Thanks for any info.

Well I ran 1,000 rounds through the GSG and only had one FTF and I think it was dut to a dirty firearm as a round didn't strip off of the magazine or maybe the mag wasn't seated enough in the pistol but tap and rack solved that problem anyhow. I have now cleaned it and purchased another value pack from Canadian Tire this time the ammo is Winchester Target copper plated Dynapoint GT HP 40 gr.
So far it has digested Federal bulk ammo non plated cheap #### and Mini Mags and Stingers. Now lets see if this 500 pack cycles like the others. I am impressed with the funcitioning and my wife likes shooting it as well this is a great little trainer for her and I think that she will have no problem switching over to my Commander and Government model.

There is a Tactical model coming in soon that has a rail under the dust cover and a threaded attachment point for a muzzle device. Must have been the model you saw.
