im having a hard time finding a mag holder for the wife's GSG locally, lots available on Amazon in the states, but I would rather give my money to a site sponsor if possible, any leads on finding these in Canada would be appreciated, I like to buy local if possible.
Thanks

I know it will fit a standard 1911 holster, but I seriously doubt that skinny little .22 mag is going to be retained in a 9mm or .45 mag holder? Can anyone confirm this for me, just doesn't seem to make sense?

Sorry, don't mean to be rude, new to handguns and just really puzzled, I don't know what a 1911 9mm mag looks like, but I would think it's bigger than a .22 mag?

They are the exact same size as a 9mm 1911 mag.

Therfore any 1911 mag holder will work. ;)

Just put my GSG mag next to my Colt 9mm mag......pretty much the same size. The GSG is a little bit smaller at the top where the ammo is fed in but the rest of the mag body seems to be built up more. Side by side it is hard to tell the difference. Bases are exactly the same. I have to think it would work in a 9mm holder.

Since GSG magazines fit in a standard 1911 magwell then any 1911 mag holder will work.

I had a GSG conversion (basically the slide and magazine without the frame) and it used the frame from my .45.

Thanks for the info guys, and my apologies to frigpig, you obviously know what you were talking about , I honestly thought there was no way they could be the same size, I guess we learn as we go :)

Not a problem.

You can take pretty much any 1911 and throw a 22 slide on it and the 22 mags.

They are physically the same size. Most people I let shoot my GSG are suprised when I tell them a 45 ACP 1911 is the same weight and size are blown away. ;)
