GSG 1911 22 Metal Makeup

Would anyone happen to know what the metal composition of the GSG 1911 22 would be?
I am interested in removing the black finish and either having it bead blasted, or if possible, annodized.

Someone here had one Arma Coated - maybe Murdoc would know.

Zinc alloy of some sort. Armacoat would be my pick for a refinish.

On the 1911 forum, there is a thread dedicated to gsg 1911 mods. A few guys have posted photos of their polished slides and receivers.

AFAIK, the GSG 1911 slide is supposed to be made of Zamac-5, which is a zinc alloy, while most of the rest of the gun is made of various aluminum alloys (except for the barrel bushing, the barrel pin and the magazines).

You cannot anodize the slide. It is possible to electroplate it. The frame should be anodize-able.
