Gsg 1911 22 problem

I shoot federal champion blue box but it comes in two velocities around 1080 and 1240. One day I mixed the rounds up and used the 1080 and got lots of stove pipes as velocity was too low to cycle properly. Picked up box read velocity and cursed some! Then loaded higher velocity rounds and had no more problems. What ever brand of ammunition you use GSG 1911 definitely only likes higher velocities! Try use better bulk ammo as well as some cheaper stuff gives problems. In your case I am pretty sure it is a mainly a question of ammunition velocity. Good luck!

Confirmed ! I had the exact issue as well
I thought the champion ammo was junk until I realized it was standard velocity and put it in my bolt action.... pleasant surprise there high velocity ammo only or there will be cycling issues.
After the first mag or so I only get the rarest hang up now and cant think of one jam or stove pipe in the last year using CCI, federal 325 automatic or 525 bulk rounds . . I'm too cheap to feed it better.

I've been shooting Federal Value Pack 525 rds for the past couple years and I'm very impressed with it. It's high velocity, 1260 fps at the muzzle, 36gr, copper plated and really accurate. IMO it is nearly as accurate as CCI Mini Mag in my GSG 1911 and a few other 22LR pistols. It is also surprisingly cheap on sale. On the last sale at Tenda it came to about 7 cents/round. I bought like 7,500 of it and can now shoot happily.
