GSG 1911 .22 slide on 1911 frame?

I want to put more cheap trigger time on my Norinco 1911 .45,

so I put me GSG 1911.22 slide on my Norinco.

It fits fine but I'm left with a screw and a pin that go through 2 holes in the SGS frame.

Does it matter, and has anyone done this. How'd it work?

Don't they sell just the GSG upper for use on other 1911's? I think it'll be fine.

Yes I believe they do and I think I read somewhere about the uppers of the GSG being OK to put on a 1911 frame.

Just didn't like the idea of having "spare parts" left over, when finished.

The screw and pin are unique to the GSG design. I showed mine to a "1911 guy" and he said "what the heck is this?"
