Gsg 1911 .22

Is the striker suppose to move freely. Mine seems to be stuck in the out position. Gun won't fire

Did you put a mag in when firing? The GSG 1911 has a magazine disconnect and will not fire without a mag in. I have a GSG 1911 and never had a problem of this kind.
Did you field strip the pistol before? If so, make sure that you re-assembled it properly.

What I need to know, is the firing pin suppose to be seen sticking out of it's spot, or flush with seat. Can anyone see their pi when you open slide??

Shouldn't be poking out....mine sits just a little bit under the face...I'm sure something is wrong...and as mentioned before, maybe time to remove the slide assembly and fully tear down the pin housing...either something broke and wedged the firing pin...or hopefully...it's just a build up of carbon deposit from repeated firing....post pics if you tear it down..might help if that's not the issue...mine hasn't jammed in 7-8 thousand rounds...good luck.

I don't own one but looking at the firing pin and schematic there is a square opening and a round hole. The holes look to be about 1/8 " apart.
Is there any chance when you reassembled it that the FP got pushed a little too far back and the pin that goes across went through the wrong hole?

Does it have a firing pin block like a regular Series 80 1911? It is possible with enough force to get your FP pushed far enough forward in a normal 1911 when you put the FP block in that it protrudes out the front resulting in FA slam fire.

Grey wolf....that's where I was going...but the firing pin seems to be sitting correctly at the face where the hammer lands...can't be poking out at both ends...

This?
Now I see what's going on. I'm missing a part. The little rectangle piece that sticks out that the hammer hits when you fire. Where the hell did it go??

Yep. Took it apart & sure enough the firing pin is broken. Al Flaherty in Toronto has the replacement kit in stock. Good day to jump on the Harley & go for ride.

Not having a very good day. When I took the firing pin bolt apart, to replace the pin, I lost the Firing Pin Safety Spring Plunger. It's just about the smallest piece in the gun, figures. Picked a repair kit up with about 20 pieces in it, but no plunger. I found the part number for it. Anyone know where I can get this part anywhere in the world.

Glad you solved your problem. Sorry to hear about your loss :p If it is not in the kit your best bet is to contact the distributor and see if you can order it. I'm not sure who the distributor is but I'm sure someone will know, or your retailer might know aswell.
