Finally started recieving some purchases! The GSG 1911 22lr in desert tan I ordered showed up, with nothing. Just the gsg shipping case and incl mag. No manual, no tools or cleaners, no lock. Lame.

Not saying it's the stores fault, but comapred to say my Girsan, I expected at least a manual?

Some photos online show more incl, is this normal?

It was in a case? Then look under the foam. There are tools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was feeling the same then removed the bottom foam. Voila!

No locked case. No trigger lock. Poor in my opinion.

My man! Was under the foam. Thanks for that haha

I've had one for a while, beat the #### out of it, still runs. Thought about selling it, but meh, they are so cheap I'll just keep beating it up.

Tan is the new black.
Have one in black with the faux silencer.

I like the black one's too. So much, I switched out the wood grips on mine for some soft Hogue panels. :)

Just to add to the spirit of the thread.... regarding GSG 1911's I always also switch out the pot metal factory barrel bushing that comes with them for a steel one.

As far as ammo goes, I find they work best with hi-velocity .22lr ammo, too.

I originally wanted a black one, with the silver trigger, but none available when I was buying.

I will say this, the trigger is much nicer than the girsan mc28 that showed up the same day (poly amirite?)

I read some people modify/disable the back grip safety? What other options/upgrades/mods are the go to for this gun?

Got the tan one also and the colour is really growing on me. Have run a few dozen clips through it with no trouble or issues outside of the odd fail to feed but am using the cheapest ammo Canadian tire sells.

Yep, I've had several and once they are broken in, they all run great on anything their fed. I have disabled the magazine safety on all mine, 'cause we're not in Europe so having it there is just silly imho. I have also put in the bushing kits found here https://zrtacticalsolutions.com/shop/gsg-sig-sauer-1911-22-ultimate-package/. The pistol out of the box is plenty accurate, and I can't say that I got $100 dollars more accurate with the kits, but they are kinda cool. If anything they add a bit more weight which translates to a 1911 in .45acp feel to it.
