So I just got o e and took it out once. Really really enjoyed it. Now I have to buy more ammo fast. I was thinking to do a few up grades to it. One is to get a better guide rod, not to sure about the plastic factory one. I'm having a hard finding just the guide rod in canada. The only thing I can Find is a whole kit. Any tips
It's a sig sauer not a gsg

I recommend the entire ZRTS Ultimate Performance Package. Right in the beginning I installed it on my GSG 1911 and never look back. It greatly improves reliability and accuracy. You can get one from Blue Line Solutions for $94.99. The Package makes that disassembly screw completely redundant which simplifies take down.
They also have a guide rod package for $64.99 but I think the the Ultimate Performance Package is much better deal. Also remember to add a buffer.

I ordered the cwaccessories kit from the states. Works nice and got something to cover that unneeded takedown screw hole once you do the upgrade.

I am having fun with my GSG 22 branded by Swiss Arms. It even shoots Remington Thunderbolt just fine. First round ever fired failed to extract then ran flawlessly since.
The Takedown of the pistol is a PITA as its next to impossible not to scratch it. Will have to look into these takedown pins, maybe there is a set that will cover my GSG15and the pistol in one.....

I agree, the ZRTS kit is the way to go...however be prepared to purchase a new front sight afterwards. After installing my ZRTS kit my GSG was shooting way WAY high, had to order an extra tall front sight to compensate...

After installing the ZRTS kit on my SIG 1911-22 recently, it shot about 6" high @ 10yd. Yikes.
Replaced the front sight with a taller one from the package of el cheapo sights the pistol came with, but have not had a chance to go to the range since changing it.

Be sure to clean and lube it regular. The aluminum body likes lube. Little fussy on ammo as well. There are better choices out there, but if your into 1911's it looks right.
