So, at the range shooting and all of the sudden the guts from my gsg1911 flew out! The little alignment tab of the barrel bushing cracked and the mainspring plug flew out...
anyone else have this problem?
Where can I buy a replacement barrel bushing and mainspring plug/cap? nowhere lists them online

Call Blueline Solutions for your GSG 1911 parts. I got several replacement parts from them within a very little down time. BTW, are you still within the warranty period?

I don't own a GSG 1911, but there's a sticky on the forum regarding the correct method to reassemble to avoid broken bushings, perhaps a good reference for the future: GSG 1911 Barrel Bushing Thread

Not certain where to pick up a replacement.

Early on in the life of my GSG given the propensity for the stock barrel bushing to 'fail' I replaced mine with a factory Colt mfg steel one.

The bushing in the GSG merely holds the recoil spring plug in & has nothing to do with accuracy or is it 'fit' to the front of the barrel, so any replacement, preferably an all steel one, is the way to go.

I had the same thing happen to mine a few month ago, freeked me out when all the guts flew out lol!
I called Ryan at Blueline and was sent a replacement within 2 days. The older ones were made of pot metal and the new one i received is steel and should be more durable.

I didn't have my Sig 1911-22 long enough for this to happen but I did notice it smelt(not the fish) "funny". Had I kept it, it would've got the ZRTS kit.

Hmm, so you can use any 1911 barrel bushing?

Yes, since the barrel in a GSG is 'fixed' at the chamber end, the bushing is not fit to the barrel at the 'muzzle' end. It is there merely to hold in the recoil spring plug. So, you can use any standard 1911/1911A1 barrel bushing to replace the GSG one. Get a steel one & you won't have to worry about any pot metal ones failing.

Do you think the taper forcing cone (zrts) would work with any 1911 barrel bushing?

Can say it works fine with a regular .45 bushing, i found that the replacement bushing i got from Blueline required me to take a fine emery cloth to the forcing cone as it was just a bit too tight.

I tried out an SS Springfield Armoury one that was a perfect fit for my Norc, but not so much for my GSG. I'd imagine that a bit of polishing would make it work.

I blew my barrel bushing and replaced it with a CW Accessories ones and guide rod. Very shortly after the safety broke on it. The GSG seems to like breaking parts more then an of my Norinco. Does a replacement safety have to be GSG?

Funny..... That hasn't been my experience, my first ran flawlessly, except for the guide rod my second ... We"ll see

ZRTS upgrade kit. Replaced the recoil spring, guide rod and the barrel end. The tapered barrel end is not tight using a GSG barrel bushing, it has a small gap around it. Using a .45 bushing as mentioned above, a good polishing would make it fit real nice.

I emailed blueline, turns out my gun is under warranty and they are sending me a new safety. So i'm happy, should be shooting again soon.

The new ZRTS kit is the bees knees, got mine in the mail a few weeks ago after I never looked back. The fit and finish is top notch.
