gsg 1911 front sight question

hey guys, i'm wondering what everyones using to remove the set screw on the front sight of the gsg 1911, what size is that screw ? i'd like something better then an allen key.

Unfortunately it is the size of the allen key that came with the gun. Small lol

I agree it's a pretty small and fragile set screw...I decided not to mess with it and bought a dlask adjustable rear sight instead...

Mine was seized in there and needed a change badly. It's plastic. I just grabbed it with some j style plyers and twisted it out. The sight was garbage but now my 1911 shoots where I aim.

Sights are not the best quality for sure but love the gun itself.
Maybe we should find out what are the best replacement sights that will work on it as I am looking at this myself.

That teeny tiny allen key that comes with the gun is the only thing that works. It's ridiculously small. Once you get the sights sorted and maybe polish the rails, they are great, I've got two of them. They like the HV stuff.

Also be careful with the supplied Allen key, it is very easy to bend or twist it,,,ask me how I know lol
