GSG 1911 in .22lr ?

I've had my sights give me issues, I've just replaced the stock guide rod on warranty because it looked like a chewed HB pencil. But, after a couple thousand rounds, this is my target at 24 feet with 40 rounds:

I'd say it's pretty good and a hoot to shoot with the CCI Stingers.

Polish or strip away the paint on the rails and its a fine gun. If you don't want to mess with that feed it 1000 or so rounds and it will do it on its own. The reliability of mine drops after 300-350 rounds without cleaning and by 400 without a cleaning it fails frequently. If you intend to shoot more than that in a single day you will need to bring a cleaning kit/boresnake or shoot a cleaner ammo. Once its somewhat clean and lubed it runs like a champ again. On the whole I think its a fine gun and I would not hesitate to buy it again.
