GSG 1911 Owners....

Hey guys.

I am getting a GSG 1911 to learn to shoot left handed. Looking at getting a holster for it.

The gun is "sposed" to a be a full size copy. Is it?

Looking to mail order a High Noon, Desantis, Sparks holster for it. Left hand model.

What are your thoughts?

GSG 1911 is a full size copy and weighs the same.
Shoots very well, right or left hand.

Dear Max,

The GSG 1911 isn't a 1911 copy it's a 1911 in .22LR. You can take the slide off and stick it on another 1911 and it will work as a conversion kit. For the price of a conversion kit you can buy a full GSG 1911.

Yes. I hope you're going enjoy your GSG as much as I enjoy mine...BTW, I haven't tried it as a conversion for my .45 ACP 1911's.

While I knew my GSG IS a 1911 I certainly didn't know that the slide can be dropped onto another 5" frame. I will most certainly give it a try! I really enjoy my GSG but I think I can still improve it with a trigger of an STI Trojan, no offence...
