GSG 1911 Tactical - Magazine safety removal, review/range report.

I've been liking mine so far too. I found the grip safety pretty stiff at first so I ended up taking it apart to see if I can make it lighter and ended up going a little foolish with the metal polish, lol. I ended up polishing the exterior of the chamber, the grip safety, trigger/trigger bow, barrel bushing and touched up the leaf spring tips and the contact surfaces on the hammer, sear, and disconnect. I also tuned the spring a little. Huge difference in the trigger, I honestly think polishing the trigger bow made the biggest difference to the pull. I could probably get it a lot lighter than it is, but being my first time trying a trigger job on a 1911 I figured I'd take it a little at a time, lol.

Here's a few pics of how it looks now.

These mags seem pretty cheap, if the follower in the mag is shortened, will it hold more rounds? I personally don't need more rounds, but see the USA u tube videos using shorter followers, and altered base pads, I would like base pads just because they stick below the butt and are easier to seat, again .... only in America... for now.. But Obama's going to pull the plug on all that!!

mags are all metal except for follower and baseplate. they are actually very solid and hefty, just dont drop them on the baseplate

I dont recommend altering any mag to hold more then legal capacity
