GSG 1911 thumb safety

Does anyone know which thumb safety for a GSG 1911 can be used with little to no fitting?
My wife seem to have broke hers off.
And where to get one in Canada or even Calgary.

Try contacting blueline solutions in BC. I think they are a GSG importer. From my exp breaking safeties ( not GSG ) I normally had to get take off parts from the same gun. To save from fitting them.

You could always try the warranty as it comes with lifetime warranty from blue line solutions. I'd try that first. They may just send you one.

well, I know you can use a safety from a Ruger SR1911

I made my GSG as close as I could in feel and handling to my .45 so I could train on the .22 instead of expensive .45.

Safety and mainspring housing I fitted from a Ruger, and the sights are aftermarket but are very similar and metal.

Oh, the safety is not ambi, but I don't want that anyway

Mine broke in a similar fashion, had some other parts break and thought, whelp better take it to the gunsmith! Went to The Shooting Edge prepared for a big bill and when the dust all settled it was completely warrantied by Blueline! Great surprise and could not be happier! Thanks to TSE and Blueline for the fix!
