Are these the same handguns? Metal mags etc? Looking to get an inexpensive .22 trainer and these look the same but I can’t find anything on the Mauser version but it is quite a bit cheaper than the gsg version on the website I’m looking at.

Can't find any Mauser 1911's for sale with google in Canada so hard to say. The GSG/Sig are great guns. Need a few rounds to break-in but after that they seem to run smooth and trouble free. There's alot of clean low round count guns on EE if you want to save a couple bucks. The GSG/Sig has a very nice metal mag. The Chiappa is cheap plastic.

Actually, there is one in Canada at Doctor Deals on sale for $359.99 which looks exactly like a re-branded GSG 1911. It has a white Mauser logo painted on the slide. They advertise it as the "Mauser GSG 1911 22lr Semi-automatic Pistol 4110601". So, it is, most likely a GSG product. Indeed, the price is very attractive with two magazines!

I ordered one at SFRC on the labour day sale. Doesn’t say there that it comes with 2 Mags but it’s the same sku as Dr Deals. Hopefully it’s a good copy.

Had one for a few years now. They are OK, heavy trigger due to all the series 80 crap, hammer spring has to be fairly heavy to avoid misfires which also adds to the heavy trigger. My Ambi safety tab broke, so the right side no longer works.
I shoot my M&P mostly now, it's a fun plinker.
There is a new Beretta 22 out now that looks like a 92...I may check one of those out soon.

For $350 I’m hoping this is a modable item. Seems like there’s lots of aftermarket parts for it that won’t break the bank.
