GSG live round stuck in chamber, removal help

Hit it with some air from the muzzle . . .

I also have a 1/4" brass rod about 12" long that can be dropped from the muzzle for .257 and larger calibers.
Perhaps there is something in the 1/5th inch range but that is where a cleaning rod comes into play.

I have a GSG-15 rifle but have only pushed about 600 rounds downrange thus far, all of them CCI Mini Mag 36 gr HP (the original CCI offering).
Zero stoppages of any kind. Change your ammo...

I also use Mini Mags in my GSG 1911 - never any issues.

I had multiple like that in my stg44 , I just use a pocket knife and gently pry it back . I would never put my finger in front of the barrel with a live round in the chamber even if it's a dud

The air from the muzzle could be a real event. Open breech, round slamming back to a metal surface. Fill the open breech with cotton balls or paper towel, a wooden dowel about an inch longer than the bullet to muzzle, a couple of light taps with a wood implement, long enough to keep the hand away from the muzzle.

Same here with my gsg-15, I use CCI and haven't had any issues yet. I'm not sure about round count though, maybe 800 or more.

I use Federal 525 in my GSG-15 and its been flawless IF the magazines are loaded correctly (round seated all the way to the rear)

My wife loaded a couple and wasn't conscious of this which resulted in issues, one of which was a round stuck in the chamber as described here - I simply levered it out of there with a screwdriver below the lip on the rear - wasn't too hard

As a side note the GSG-15 is a tack driver! Really impressed with it

I used mine for the first time yesterday. Ran a box of Winchester 333's through it and a 100 rd box of CCI minimag hollowpoints. No failure to feed, extract fire or eject except I rimlocked on one round and it wouldn't feed. My mistake when I loaded the mag though. Other than that it worked flawlessly. I shot some CCI quiet through it but it doesn't have enough power to fully eject the spent case or cycle the action fully and it will stovepipe. Not a surprise there though.

I have the ISSC MK22 which is the same thing as far as I know. Mine eats everything & makes 1 ragged hole on paper at 30 yards with a full magazine (22 rounds) off of a bipod. I just went 1050 rounds without cleaning (3 range trips) and it had only a handful (5-10) of hiccups. A couple fail to feeds & a couple light strikes. I could not be happier with this rifle. It just needs an acog clone priced for a .22!

Well I have faith next time I get to the range that hopefully I will get past 6 rounds.

Per the above poster my 10/22 takedown loves Remington and my JW25A shoots it equally as well

My plan is to start with
Federal Automatic this time
Then
If it still works see how CCI cycles.

Full size graphite rods are the way to go I know that one. The Tipton ones are expensive and .22 sizes seem to be the most expensive which is why I held off till now but with luck it will last me a lifetime. I was happy with how they worked in .30cal size so just stayed with the same brand. Should all be there at the post office when I get home.

Federal Automatch seems to shoot the most reliably and accurately in all of our rifles (JW15A; old Winchester pump; the wife's Nylon 66 and her new Mossburg Plinkster; my High Standard Sport King eats anything, and I don't shoot it well enough to know which one is more accurate LOL).
