GSG MP40 FRT Submitted ?

Didn't the MP40 already make it here but was later deemed "Easy to convert" so it got moved to prohib?

(The repro version was using the actual german machines used in the originals)

Hmmmmm, well wouldn't they just have to make the folding stock permanently fixed open to meet the requirements?

Situ makes no sense, yet again.

Doesn't strike me as being that confusing. With beehive of gun restrictions/limitations in Canada, why would a manufacturer want to alter a successful (probably good-selling) design to sell who knows how many copies in a market as small as Canada? I doubt the STG would have been altered for the Canadian market if that was what was required to sell it here. I'm not a semi fan, nor do I care a whole lot for tactical/military guns of any kind...but I've always been fascinated with the MP40. I could maybe even be tempted to buy one if they made it here, but our main problem in Canada is our gun laws, and these a-hole Liberals running the show. The RCMP are also busy solving crimes that haven't happened for the greater good~so consider things like the 10/22 mag restrictions a big warm hug from Justin Turdeau.

It's not that it's confusing, it's that there is no definitive answer. When Blueline were still around, they had stated way-back-when that they were going to bring in both the GSG MP-44 and GSG MP-40 models.
Well, as many of us know, it took a long time for the GSG MP-44 to get approved, but then any information or communications regarding the MP-40 seems to have vanished, from any and all importers.

There seems to be a lot of speculation as to what may have happened, but no one seems to have any factual info or communications indicating anything specific.

It's just a bit odd......

They made a specific model of their MP40 for the British market, with a slightly longer barrel, that meets UK laws. I would think it would be easy to make a non folding stock, to meet our regs. And sell 10x more, then they would if they were restricted.

I did play with one in the UK last year. Definitely a cool toy to acquire if we are ever allowed. This begs the question if they can get it in the UK with their very restrictive gun laws, then why can't we?

Same applies to the .22 MP5 GSG clone which is also way cool and available in the UK
