GSG STG-44 Scope choice

You have never lived unless you had to sh!t in a plastic bag and carry it around with you... lol... I do have lots of fun, and got to travel the world. but im also glad I only have 9 years left to retirement. I'm getting too old and grumpy .... lol...

I appreciate the thanks, But im just an Carpenter in the military. My job isn't the most dangerous compared to the guys in the infantry.

Eh, I've seen what you guys can do with a nail gun and some plywood. I still have nightmares about that field-expedient outhouse... ;)

(J/K, really!)

Jermyzy, look at the pictures on posts 2 and 4: if you use the clamp mount, looks like a regular 4 inch eye relief will work fine. If you use the "centre" mount that replaces the leaf sight and mount a smallish scope, you're going to have trouble putting your eye within 4 inches of the scope, looks like. In that case, a scout-type long eye-relief looks like a good idea to me. The red dot... come on, that's so unhistorical, don't do it! :p

Caveat: I own neither a StG44 nor a scout-type scope... you better double-check my opinions with someone that has one of either! :)

The combination of the mount and reflex sight looks good, what mount is that, and where did you source it please? Is it 10mm to picatinny?

Thanks.
