So, here I am at the range trying to shoot my GSG for the first time.
I load the mags. I #### the gun, drop the slide, and the hammer won't drop!

It has never had a problem in all the times I dry fired it. ( not that many times, just checking function. )
In fact it was fine just before I let the slide drop.
Now the hammer is back all the way. A little play to the rear.
I cant pull the trigger, it's all the way back.
I have it disassembled with the slide off, can't see any problem.

Seriously, WTF?

Ok, got the hammer to fall by jamming an allen wrench into the guts.
Grip safety is jammed and the trigger isn't reseting.
Still hooped.

It has never had a paroblem in all the times I dry fired it.

And the first time you insert loaded mags you have a problem.
Since the gun has a magazine safety, maybe this is causing the problem.( Just guessing though ).
Try putting the gun back together & try it with an empty mag. ( Check the chamber first for a round in there first ).
.
I took mine out. Not because it was causing problems ( it worked fine ) but I don't like mag safeties. Took about 5 minutes to easy. Easy.

Another thought is that if the slide is not 100% forward, the gun will not fire. If you pull the trigger, the hammer will not fall. Another safety feature.
This can happen when the gun is new. Just pushing the slide all the way forward cures the problem.

Thanks everyone. I'm back home now.
I got this one from Dlask, so I will be taking it back to him to look at.
I think the problem is the trigger wasn't resetting before until you tapped the grip safety. It was hanging up on it.
I had Joe look at it, and it was much better, but not completely gone.
I just figured it would wear in.

So I checked to see it empty, and let the slide drop freely for the first time. Then I inserted the loaded mag ( again for the first time), and the trigger wouldn't budge. It was rock solid.
The grip safety is tight in, no play. The hammer is all the way back, very little play to the rear, and the trigger bar is resting on whatever it rests on, won't come forward.

I think the safety is not letting the trigger reset. It is solid, won't budge.
Ohh well..

....Hey Joe! Where you going with that GSG in your hand.....?

No, not bent. Just locked in. The trigger won't reset, nor will it go in any further. Tried everything I could with the slide off.
Won't budge.
