I would not buy a mosquito, to much negative info out there , do research.
I have a colt 1911 22, love it and also a Ruger Mark III Hunter , very reliable
Gsg all the way...... Never shot a mosquito but lots of negative reviews about them out there. My gsg has been flawless......whatever you go with .....enjoy!!
Import
Aside from the mag saftey literally dropping out of it (due to an overzealous friend wanting to try the saftey out) I haven't had any real problems with my mosquito that weren't ammo or cleaning related. Earlier models weren't so good reliabilty wise and the bad rep stuck. It does have an atrocious DA trigger pull though.
If I were to do it again, I would probably go with the GSG though.
is it possible to convert the p226 classic .22 into p226 9mm or .40 s&w?
Browning, ruger omg no they are so ugly.. M&P would have been a good choice cause i enjoyed the M&P9 but look not so much..
I think the thing i liked the most on the mosquito is the threaded barrel sticking out of the slide.. even if i have no intention to attach a silencer to it LOL.
i love my gsg and the customer service from them has been fantastic. i have had no problems but i did email my concerns after i bought my gun (i was reading that some people had problems with the guide rod) and they said i had the newer model with the refined guide rod but because i was concerned they sent me a new guide rod and a new mag as well. contacted straight from Germany top notch service and the gun has always been reliable.
i would vote for the gsg but good luck in your decision.
Neither. M&P .22lr if I was you. Me and my buddy put 3000 rounds of all different kind of ammo thru it in one shoot, didn't stop to clean it once. It never had a hiccup. Made me wanna buy one my self. Stupid BC CFO is taking forever tho...
Colt 1911-22 is my top pick, I find it performs quite a bit better than my gsg did.
I bought a Mosquito for the gf to shoot because the price was right, mags are expensive, and reviews on them are terrible but if you dont like it there is always someone looking for one on EE. It's not like you're stuck with it forever.
