gsg1911 vs sig 1911 22

Same gun, different paint job. I'd buy the GSG from Blueline for the warranty and service and save yourself over $100. Unless you really want to pay for the Sig name.

When I went shopping for one of these, Q had the Sig 1911-22 on sale for $403 with 2 mags. Done deal for me especially when I preferred the cosmetics of the Sig.
Yes the GSG and Sig are basically the same and I bought extra mags from Wolverine once I decided to keep it.

The Sig 1911-22 does come with 2 mags. Sig mags are $39.99 and GSG mags are $29.99 at Cabelas . The Sig comes in Black, Olive Drab and Flat dark Earth (see shooterschoice.ca). Not sure about the GSG though.

The slide is plastic, the frame isn't. It's still more plastic than the average 1911.

All metal pistol, slide and frame. Anyone who has owned one knows the truth.

If the Sig 1911 22 has a more durable finish, it might be worth the extra $ (if on sale), but that is yet to be seen. They are the same pistol.

The Slide on the GSG is a Zinc Alloy. As for the finish on the GSG's, there have been many developments with regards to upgrading the finishing on the pistols. We will also see Olive Drab as well as Tan versions showing up in the New Year.
