There's nothing interesting about this, many cartridges can defeat armor, all of them considered prohibited ammunition in Canada

actually almost every single rifle round out there will go thru body armour, and most of them are legal for sale in canada....i would not even stick my ass out in front of a crappy s&b 30 year old fmj 7.62 x 39 round even if i was wearing 2 layers

Yup, it's all about the ammo. There are many European ammo makers that offer armour piercing rounds that chamber and fire in common 9mm handguns. No big deal.
