I hunt up in Janetville on a friend of mines property. 200 acres of man-playground there I was there today actually going after yotes!
But If you take the 35 North to Shoe Lake Rd and make a left, all that land in there is Crown Land. If you hit Bracebridge you've gone too far. Not sure about hunting regs in that area, but you can shoot there.
Barrie area ( home ) and Owen Sound sometimes. Im in Oakville, and don't have a vehicle or my gear, but there are always boatloads of geese, basically flying parallel with Trafalgar ( N-S )
I'm in the same boat Rangel!
All my family hunts, but they all live in NFLD and I'm over here in Etobicoke pondering where I'm allowed / should go (still a n00b)
I lived in Southern Ontario for 5 years and that was the only thing I disliked about it.....the hunting sucks bad unless you know someone with land. What little crown land is around there is over-run with trigger happy hunters just looking for anything to shoot at. It really boiled my urine.
I now live in Northern Alberta and I have hunting spots to my hearts galore on crown land in the middle of nowhere with nobody else to contend with. It rocks!
