Guelph level 2

you are correct, a level 2 match would be ok I believe. Quite a contraversial target system.

Once you know the trick to shooting a star, it's not really much different than shooting any other steel plate. Shot properly there is very little movement of the apparatus because you nail them before they get moving and cancel out the momentum. It ends up being a case of five shots for five plates and then on to the next target in the stage. What it does though, even more than regular plates, is it forces the shooter to stay on the sights and follow-through. That's what intimidates most shooters...especially shooters who don't shoot a lot of steel. The minute you try to look at the steel you miss a shot, and a missed shot in the middle of a star sequence means that now you are really shooting at moving plates. Much harder to do.

Thanks for the good pointer Rob. Next time I see that star I know what to do. :)
Oh yes... that star was fun to shoot.... more challenging if you are shooting revolver. :D :D

I liked the Texas Star, that was a great Stage. I did it in 11 shots, whew
Definatley looking forward to the next Guelph match.

Now if I can only buy a clean shoot at a match. Since provincials (i mike the whole match :D ), I haven't a clean match & hardly any clean stages  :(
Ya, I'm  , too. A MASTER shooter like my self. (inside joke for some of us ;) )

hmm well I completely butchered Guelph...did about as #### bad as possible...I suppose its best to try out new site at the range and not give them a first time whirl at a level 2? lol

However I did have one really good stage and that was the Texas Star stage..damn they gotta have those more often.

Guelph was a ton of fun, thanks for those who put it together.
