I'm posting this for my brother. He bought a Caesar Guerini Magnus and he's put less than a box through it so far. We were out grouse hunting on Saturday and he had some issues with the trigger. By issues, I mean it wouldn't fire. Occasionally would, but with no predictablity. Between us we have about 20 shotguns and have both been hunting for over 30 years each. Never seen anything like this before. Any comments?

did the gun go "click" and the pin not strike the primer, did the trigger move with no "click", or did the trigger not even move? Could be a safety problem, a firing pin or hammer problem, or like you say a trigger.

Assuming this may be happening during the 2nd shot? Not sure if the Guerini trigger is dependant on inertia for reset? Consequently, in the excitement of the hunt the shotgun may not have been shouldered properly thus causing that situation.....

It's happening on the first shot or the second. No consistancy to the problem. The trigger moves, no click. Try again, same thing. Try a third time, barrel fires. Break the action try again, gun fires. Break the action again, gun doesn't fire. We couldn't figure out any pattern to the problem. Only consistant was that after it would fire, it was no longer ejecting the spent shell as it should.
