Rick....you were just a pup in that picture!

November 11, 1995. Yup....much, much younger. It was -35 that day, it does come through in the pic, I'm frozen!

I have gotten better looking though! :D

P.S. That's my first custom rifle. Ruger M77 blued action, Shilen ultralight 26" 270 Wby tube, Brown Precision stock and the same 3.5-10X40 Leupie scope you've seen on more than one rifle. 7 1/2 pounds all up and 130 grain XBT's at 3375 fps. Miss that one!

Guesses on this one?

For perspective, I'm 6'1" and that's a 26" barrel on the rifle.

I'm guessing right at 180" net .... 186 Gross.

With brow tines and a little better G4/Main beams I'm guessing he'd have been knocking on mid/high 180's (net).

Am I close (you may have told me once what it scored but I can't remember)?

Great buck!

Ackley cheated...and he's right. ;)

Without brow tines, the score comes way down. It makes the awards period, but not the all time book. And as I mentioned on another thread, he's not entered in any book. As a side note, his G2's are over 20", which is almost unheard of.

He does look good on the wall though.
