fns9 and a sig 320 that is what i ended up with, i wanted two 9 mil striker fired, if one goes down and i need to chase parts? i will have a back up. but i shoot 100 to 150 roumds every other week, hope these 2 will last me. I do have a moose rifle. what are others doing? I don t think I need any more? maybe a 22mag rifle?

Hey Hank2 . I’m green as grass to all this myself but I just purchased 3 pistols I bought a Sig P320 F as my striker fired pistol and a CZ Shadow 2 as my hammer fired all metal gun . I wanted to have 2 different types of pistols ,hammer fired all metal and striker fired polymer

I would've got two identical pistols, with that logic.

You certainly need at least a .22 rifle and possibly a .22 auto loading pistol for cheap plinking/training purposes. .22LR will do.
 
I had a G5 Glock 17 and 34 before hand. I just bought another 17 and 34. And a ton of parts. Redundancy will be key going forward, and since the 17 and 34 are basically the same gun, I essentially have three complete backup's +parts. :)
 
Those are 2 good choices from reliable manufacturers. You really don’t hear about failures very often but might be worth buying a complete parts kit for each one if you can afford it.

rifles aren’t an issue but .22 mag keeps getting more expensive every year so keep that in mind.

but if one goes down even if they are the same you are still left with one
 
I lucked into a used CZ Shadow 2 about a month before the announcement and resulting frenzy. An S&W Victory22 and Shadow Systems DR920 rounded out my autoloading pistol collection. Same day my LGS showed me the Victory22, one of the lads that worked there also sold his model 686. So I have my plinking pistol (22lr), a striker fired 9mm, a DA/SA 9mm and a wheel gun.
Originally I was thinking to get a P320 but the SS DR920 was available so I jumped on it.
It'd be nice to have a proper 1911, but I need a .375H&H rifle before even going down that road.
