There are two screws holding the butt pad to the butt. Is there glue holding it on also? I don't want to begin until I know. Moreover Do I need to glue the Limbsaver butt pad on or will the two original screws suffice?

Ok, got it done. Easy peasy.
The pad is not an exact fit as there is a bit of hangover at the top of the Butt. Do I care? Am I fussy about a bit of hangover that I will have to grind it so the looks are immaculate? Will my enjoyment of the rifle be diminished in any way?
Hell, no! A little extra area will just add to the shooting comfort. I'll leave it as is.

Perhaps the shop I got it from needed to borrow the screws for a job. Who knows. the packet was not sealed shut with glue or plastic wrap, only the hard clear plastic that can be opened and closed again.
