Guide Outfitters Association

i think the problem is not only in BC ... just in Yukon if any places are on draw Outfitters got 50% of them. i don t even think about NWT for sheep or caribous ...

there is something like for the gun rights that is not only one place but all over.

just my 2 cents.

Phil.

As a commentator pointed out, why not just auction the licenses allocated for foreign hunters to the hunters directly? It's fair, simple, direct and produces the most revenue for the taxpayer.

Once the hunter has won the auction for the license, they can choose whichever guide/outfitter they wish to use - or none at all.

It's not like there are not already existing auction venues, both private and governmental.

they re doing that in alaska at least on kodiak island. seems working great.

As stated on the other thread, you need to follow up with a letter... My friend in the Constituency office tells me a letter is given 1000 times the weight of an email or online petition. We need to shut this one down!

I sent 50 emails to MLA's, all Liberals except one.
I have never met the author of one reply so how he justifies the rational is beyond me.
Sure I can still hunt deer and bear but I want to hunt Roosevelt Elk and the GOABC got an increased allocation in that area.
One need not be a veterinarian surgeon to recognized horse manure.
