I have 3 fellas from New Joisey flying in for a bear hunt next weekend. We will head out to my camp in the Birch Mountains. 8 days.

And this year, I have hot showers ready.....:dancingbanana:

God Bless the guy who invented propane....lol

I will try my beaver castors baiting style along with 4 barrel baits too..

I managed to get a lot of anise oil from a Watkins dealer too. I plan on setting up some scent areas along a couple very nice green North/South running lines. I will take the camera along so hopefully I will be able to post some nice bears.....before and after pictures. None of these guys ever shot a bear before so it will be tricky getting them to pick the right one....but that's the job of the guide. I will be with another outfitter/guide so I think I will take one guy and he can set the other two over the barrel baits. We will see who does better (or who is luckier)

So I will be outta touch from May 24-Jun01 just in case there is a big flood of pm's for me in regards to my old hunting magazines for sale that no one seems interested in .....lol

Here's a question: When a guy from New Joisey kills a bear, does he still feel the urge to put it's feet in cement? :)

Now there is some humour!!! Your killing me Grouse Man, Killing Me!!! Bwahahaha...

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Further on the issue... Would you ever find the bear if you cased it's feet in cement???
P.P.S. Have a great hunt Huntinstuff!!!

Have a great hunt Randy! Do you ask the hunters to show you that they can actually HIT something with their rifle before you take them out?

And I have your home phone number so while you're away I'll just phone up the missus and volunteer to take those dirty old magazines that are cluttering up the place, as long as she doesn't mind paying the postage! :p

SPRING bear hunting. I recall we used to have that here in Ontario.....:(

lol//////////////

I usually stop somewhere safe and get them to take a couple shots to "make sure the gun wasnt bumped in transit"...........

Most times the guys are pretty good. If the guy wants to pop the bear behind the ear at close range tho.........

Should be interesting. One of them must be a wiseguy, being from Jersey and all...............

It makes it all the more funny that you guys made those comments because I talked to the one guy this morning and he said,

If I "deep six" a bear, do you skin it or do I?

Deep six...........:p:p:p:p lol lol You guys might be onto something .....
