I looked over the last Bud Haynes sale catalogue and went to the preview. Not much of interest to me so I didn't attend the sale. There were three guns that sort of were interesting and I just checked to see what they went for:

Ruger M77 Mark II .30/06 with 18" barrel full stock............$700

Browning (Belg.) Auto 5 Sweet Sixteen, 2 3/4", engraved, gold plated trigger............$600

Ruger M77 Mark II 6.5X55 with 22" barrel..................$500

They are having one more "clean up and moving sale in Sept. and then are moving the operation up to Edmonton for an October sale.

Funny, the prices at the last one in the spring IIRC seemed really high, so stopped looking at the auctions here. Guess once they move to Edmonton I may have to go.

ARRG !! I've been after a Ruger MK I or II in 6.5 x 55 for a long time. Fair price too if it was in good condition.

Auctions are funny things. At one you will see a certain gun go way lower than market value and at the next you will see the same model gun go for a ridiculously high price. All it takes is two idiots who are determined to win a certain gun.
