Anyone know where I can get some Gun Black in Canada? Want to match the shiny black finish on the gun, all I can find is gun blue. I did buy a Birchwood Casey Super Black Touch Up Pen from Cabelas in glossy black but it's just paint pen and it doesn't really work.
 
The stuff they sell now is all black, blueing is an old term held over from many years ago. It now seems to apply to just about every kind of coating except paint and parkerizing.
 
I just bought a bottle of Birchwood Casey Perma Blue and it gives me a darker bluish color. I want to get more of a shiny black finish. Any idea who sells something like the Blue Wonder Gun Black product? The only place that I have seen it is in the US.

I buy Blue Wonder on Ebay and you can actually get is shipped to Canada directly from Blue Wonder (google them)
 
I am a knifemaker & I blue some of my blades. When I finish the handles I soak them in linseed oil & turpentine. By accident I discovered that the linseed oil/turpentine mixture blended the blotchyness of the cold blue. Try it.
