I was wondering if anyone has bid on antique or flintlock guns on the Gunbroker site? It shouldn't be a hassle going across the border, especially flintlocks as they don't need registration.

yes i am also curious. as most of the auctions state no international sales...

To get them into Canada isn't a problem if it is an antique. If the seller's ad says no international sales just contact them and write that, like the US, the firearm is considered an antique in Canada.

Just dumped a load of cash on my latest antique. My wife seems appeased by the sacrifice(sale) of a couple seldomly shot restricteds pistols. Oh, well can't shoot those at the farm anyway. I honestly see myself losing most of my restricteds. There is something priceless about not having to get some civil servants permission to use my property where I want.

I dumped nearly all of mine. I'll probably sell the rest and let my licence expire when the time comes.

I would still hang onto your licence, way things are going you still might need a pal to buy powder in the near future.

Guys, please keep 1 restricted and an RPAL license. We need to keep numbers up to be recognized by politicians, even the CPC ones.

Gunbroker is great, I bought something on there awhile back and had Prophet River Firearms do the import. Really reasonable and only took about 5 weeks. Clay is excellent to deal with, except for making me want to remortgage the house to buy a few Coopers.

Sorry, IMHO - letting go of a restricted rating is a bad thing - sorta jumping ship - dropping a prohibited rating inexcusable if unnecessary.

You guys beat me to it. Here is the link. This turkey Leo Hammel, AKA Fairfaxx, preys on Canadian buyers. GunBroken won't do squat for the buyer either, as that would be cutting the throat of the goose that lays the golden egg. Beware!
Even after confiming the guy has two accts at GunBroken, they told me they really didn't care. Beware!

The guns that Fairfax has only look good but when you get them you then and only then see what a piece of crap you bought. Dont take a chance on him all his stuff is junk.
