I'm not sure if this is going to help anyone but Princess Auto has a (protective) case sale.
I just got a digital camo pistol case for $8.99 and a rifle case for $12.99, made in the USA by Allen.
Both are padded and the rifle one comes with a muzzle plastic cap (you can't see in the picture - I took the picture in the parking garage at work with my phone).
They had more colors/camo patters for the pistol cases.
The pistol case is not on sale but I figured at $8.99 some of you might want to know.
The store I went to is in Mississauga, ON but the rifle case is advertised in their flyer so I guess it's national.
