Can one buy a pistol from someone in the UK and import it to Canada?

You'd have to go through standard Cdn. import, and UK export procedures.
Is this from a dealer in the UK, or is the pistol one that meets UK antique standards? Generally speaking, there is no provision for personal ownership of pistols in the UK.

I've heard of people importing guns there but not exporting, I'll ask around.
