Not sure if this is the right place for this questions but figure if anyone would know, it would be one of yous.
I was at the range a couple weeks ago and one of the other fellows shooting told me to use "Gun Juice" down the barrel after every round. Claimed 75fps faster and a much longer barrel life. Anyone had any experiance? And what about the "fouled barrels shoot better" theory? Thanks

Did he tell you to check your muffler bearings, top-up the blinker fluid and try to sell you a bag of level-bubbles, 1/2 off sale?

No this is not the right place for this question, it would be better answered in the precision rifle form. If fact if you do a serch there you will find alot of talk on the subject of gun juice.

I like using the stuff as a lubricant to coat my barrel after cleaning and think it help's maintain barrel life and reduce friction. Some guys do like you say and use it to clean with and after every shot when breaking in the barrel. I think some guys even drink the stuff they love it so much.:D

I don't think it's miricale juice for guns but it does help, and is for sure better than using nothing at all to lube the barrel after cleaning. Give it a try and decide for yourself.

Rick at Alberta Tactical Rifle sells it.

The velocity gains will vary from gun to gun.
The real benefit is that your copper fouling is greatly reduced and as the product is a super lube, we are seeing significantly longer barrel life.
I started using it several years ago in a 300 win mag that I had just built. today it has 5400 plus rounds down the barrel and still shoots very well. It shouldn't at this stage, but does.
Getting several hundred rounds between cleanings is also a bonus in my opinion.
Like all gun cleaning, engine oil additives and such there are those who swear by it as I do and many of my clients also do, and then are those who either have not tried it and make fun or those who have tried it and found it did not do as they figured it would, so as Dave says the only true test is to try it yourself and make your own decision.

i started using it and i believe it does help with copper fouling and does cut your cleaning time down. as far as getting faster velocity i couldn't tell you because i used it for breaking in a barrel so i have nothing to compare it to.

and dont leave the cap off the bottle the #### evaporates quick

True You can actually watch it evaporate.
