Who here has used Microlon Gun Juice? http://www.microlon.com/kitsfirearms.asp

I bought 1 oz bottle to try on my XR-100 in 204Ruger. I find that after 20-25 rounds accuracy is going south and have to stop and clean the barrel.

Any tips or tricks on how to apply it properly? I was reading that you clean and degrease your barrel, run a wet patch of Juice and shoot a round and repeat up to 10 times. How long in between after treatments? 100- 200 rounds?

Any input would be great :)

Your best bet would be to get a hold of Rick from Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply to answer any questions. He is a dealer for Gun Juice and has plenty of experience with this product.

Please post your findings as I have a bottle of this stuff and am waiting for some time to go to the range and test it.

I bought the juice from ATR, he said to treat it 10 times in a row. Start with clean barrel, run wet patch, shoot, run wet patch, shoot, and do that 10 times.
I didn`t ask him it after running patch to let dry before shooting or shoot with it wet in the bore? Also wondering, Does one try to avoid getting the chamber wet?
I`m hoping it will extend shooting my 204 before cleaning to regain accuracy.
I remember when I had my 17 Rem, had to clean every 10 rounds, was a pain in the butt. Wished this stuff was around
then:rolleyes:

Thanks for your input guys:)

Garnet Each barrel has its own number of required passes of the wet patch before the dry film is covering the entire surface of the barrels interior. Microlon suggests 6 to 7 , I have found 10 to 12 and sometimes as many as 15 before the coating is in all of the microscopic divets inside the bore are filled. Once full cover has been attained the barrels do not copper foul nearly as much.which helps to keep the accuracy up
On my own rifles I clean the bores with 1 wet patch at the end of the shooting session, to remove any powder fouling that is left from shooting.
I have doubts as to whether the treatment is totally permanent as Microlon claims so by doing my cleaning in this manner feel that any film that has been worn off will then be replaced.
Getting Juice in the chamber has had no ill effects in my experience, so I take no concern of whther I get some inside the chamber. Juice evaporates so quickly I am not sure you could shoot a round in a wet barrel, that being said I leave it a minute or so after wet patching to allow the alcohol base to evaporate.
The bore must be TOTALLY clean of copper and residue before treating to attain best results, and remeber to shake the bottle severely evry time you use the product as the active ingrediant settles out quickly.
Let me know if you continue to experience trouble.

Well I treated the 204 to Gun Juice. It was a drawn out process but wouth it I think, will know once I get a chance to sit down and feed her till the acuracy drops off and see what the round count will be.

I didn`t set up on my good rest today, main concern was to get it treated and then play. I didn`t have time to play after with the same loads as I ran out.

Here`s a target with a 12 shot group at 110 yards. I scanned the dang pic but didn`t turn i around so the image is upside down but you`ll get the idea.
Once I get more loads built I`ll set up proper and get serious and show you what this gun will do. :D
