I already replied to the same post in general firearm discussion, but have a look where Kimber, Sako, CZ, Tikka, Steyr and Browning are in relation to Savage. What a pathetic joke, lol.

im shocked that the ruger american is considered better then the Browning Xbolt.
a solid gun made of metal and wood compared to a plastic gun with a plastic mag.
i have both and i wouldnt even call the ruger a gun while holding the browning because it would be like swearing in church, haha!
Ya that cant be right. Remington is rated way better than what they are. Savage I can see as people love cheap. They are rough but work. No Winchester at all...ouch
Reminds me of the computer ratings. Dell crap is always at the top of the list with all the "award winning" BS. If these ratings were done by a magazine publisher, the ratings will be proportional to the advertising budget...
Well, maybe most of the posters did not read the question? To be ranked on "Quality and Reliability" has nothing to do with how inexpensive a gun is, or how well known the brand is in North America, or whether or not you happen to own it.
For example, Sako has near-custom quality and complete and utter reliability. But they ranked it 10th ???? ... 0,o
What a lot of crap. Ruger/Savage/Remington better than Sako/Benelli/Beretta, no Winchester. Clearly this was an American poll with people picking based on brand loyalty and has nothing to do with actual quality.
Flawed from the start. The poll is based on THEIR firearms, not industry wide quality. People that can only afford a Savage or Ruger American will say they are top notch, but have never held a Steyr, CZ, Sako or Beretta.
The only thing this shows is what people are buying, and is why the majority of American manufacturers are in the top half.
