This year has been challenginbg to say the least, warm weather, extreme hunting pressure around my farm, a big winterkill last year and other factor made this WT season a tough one to fine the 160 class deer. I never did see one and I hunted 22 days. With 2 days left this buck came into my ambush spot and the 6.5-06 did its usual work. 125 gr nosler Partition loading. I only fired one shot this year at game. It counted! This rifle was put together by RickF a few years back, made its way to 2 other Gunutz before I put it to work. A Kimber M89BGR with Bill Leeper working on it PacNor Bbl and cleaning up metal and wood. Its no longer a safe queen, has some love marks from heavy carry use and has that killer feel. I pretty much abandoned my other units for this outfit. Thanks RickF for your package.

Wonderful.
Nice when a rifle gets blessed, then gets bragged up.
Makes'er worth a bunch more.
Nice photo, great post.
Thanks.
Cheers.
Looky.

I Will say that this unit has accounted for 163 148 ,and 152 WT. a 78pt antelope as well as 8 other asstd deer and antelope over the past 6 years. To me it exemplifies the quintisential western rifle, in caliber and design.
