Gun range in GTA that have a day pass?

Hey guys, does anybody know any gun ranges in Toronto or Hamilton area that have a day pass.

I have a friend that wants to try shooting and I promised her I'd take her out during 'reading week'.

Does the hamilton gun club have day passes?

I believe that non-members can shoot at the HGC, they just pay a higher rate for clays.

Silverdale is your best bet.

Nothing else has the same facilities available for a day pass at $20.

Silverdale offers $5 a round for trap, but no skeet unfortunately.

If you are only shooting trap you don't have to worry about the day pass, but they have rifle ranges out to 200m, and a pistol range as well.

Many clay target clubs permit non-members to shoot. Uxbridge, HGC, Oshawa, Galt, Waterford and IIRC HAHA allow it for a higher fee. Galt does require non-members sign a waiver and must have a club member on their squad if they are shooting sporting clays.

Price must have gone up, the website says $8. I wanted to take my buddy there last summer, but the website says a PAL is required.

Tits also has another weird rule that I've been trying to figure out.

"A barrel length of 26” is allowed on our shooting range."

wtf is that supposed to mean? 26" is allowed? Only 26" is allowed?

It means they are a bunch of fudds who won't let you use anything shorter, as it is not a sporting shotgun.

What does a round mean? (At first I thought each round of ammo but...) If a round is like 50 clays its worth it (I dont go to often) and my friend just wants to shoot a gun.

HGC is my best bet, not worth the extra drive to go to silverdale.

Just to confirm I can take a non-pal friend to shoot right?

I've only done skeet once before but I believe a round is 25.

25 birds/clays is a round (that's why the shell box comes that way).

I would contact HGC to see if your non-pal holding friend can shoot there.
