Gun ####. Rem 700 AAC-SD accuracy international AX

havent been to the range in two weeks. ( Since i took the last pics ). Working up handloads at the moment.
My handloads have been under an inch at 100m. im trying all different sorts of 168 gr. to see what it likes the most and then go from there.

Cool. I've got the same rifle but not as cool a stock as yours. My 700 seems to like 168gr Sierra MK behind 41.5gr of H4895 for sub-MOA groups.

###y rifle!! ;) I know the feeling! :)

This is one of the first 10 chassis in country by Wolverine almost 2 years ago just before RCMP got all the rest till next batch. See how they changed the front rail near the recoil lug. I just found out 1 month ago that they actually change de front tube design.

I have a 20" 1-12 twist barrel

I run:
44g Varget ( low accuracy node is not an option IMO for short barrel if you plan on shooting longer ranges )
168 SMK
2.810COL

sub MOA Load. Average 0.55" @ 100 meters

I love my rifle also. I should point out my rifle is the 20 inch 1:10 twist..( I have a tri-port brake ordered.) nothing on there at the moment. I don't have any H4895, but i tried hornady 168 gr amax, Matrix 168 rebated boat tails, barnes ttsx, and nosler partition with IMR 4320.
With that powder, I found 42.0 grains yielded best grouping, but YMMV. I loaded them .020 back from the rifling with new virgin hornady brass and no crimp, nice group but turned her into a single shot rifle.
I will try again with rounds loaded to 2.810 COL and with neck sized brass and a few slightly higher loads... but If it groups well enough, I may leave it alone.. My hand loads are night and day better than the store bought ammo I tried as far as consistency.
the difference in charge is likely the 2 different powders i think.
I like the tactical tape job on the scope :) i would have gotten a FDE colored scope if the store had one.. But I love my vortex..no regrets.
Cheers,
Dave

heres mine. gun was ~.7MOA gun while sitting in an AICS 1.5....definitely dig the look and the folder on this AI AX. Hope to get it out to the range this week!

OAL folded is just under 33", and fits into a 36" case no issues.
