There are likely threads on this already but can’t seem to find them. Any Canadian dealers or ranges that are permitted to and actively purchasing handguns from private owners? Have a few too many and thanks to the #### heads sitting in Ottawa, selling them as per normal is verboten. Thanks

Sure..have you seen the value in Canada of an original 4 inch blue Python vs the U.S... now think how much your 686 was and maybe get 25 percent.. it isn't the EE, it's.. you'll take what you are offered for scrap or bugger off.

Do you really need a few hundred bucks?

No I certainly don’t want to give them away. Also exploring possibly exporting. Made a few impulse panic buys that I’m realizing I don’t need. I emailed the shooting edge and apparently they aren’t buying anymore right now, at their limit apparently.

Deactivate. They sell as hot cakes for 150%-200% of their original price. Just seen crappy deactivated Chinese TT-33 sold for $600. It was a $200 gun right before the ban. If you have something interesting or collectable - it's money in the bank.

Selling a parts kit minus frame - another option depending what model it is. IRUNGUNS now sells pistol completed parts kits for the price of the whole gun, they do just that - sell you a complete gun and strip the frame for parts.

Not much sense in selling off handguns for pennies on the dollar . Trudeau's political career is finished in a couple of years when the next election rolls around as the country is falling apart . Everything Trudeau has done will be reversed including his gun bans. Vote CPC , and be part of the solution .

Yep, what he said, we just have to hold out until a sane government is elected, so don't do anything rash just yet.

Yes what do you guys have? I believe people who have a profession that requires to carry a handgun on the job such as LE, mil or even armed security (cash logistics) are still allowed to buy handguns because they do need to practice.

We still buy them, but mostly as a service to widows and people leaving the sinking ship known as Canada. Not many people trade them in just for cash.

Nope. If you're law enforcement or military, you practice with an agency handgun during employer-sponsored requalifications/training days. Samething for cash couriers.

Exemptions are only made for Olympic shooters and people with an ATC.

More and more threads and comments about where to sell handguns.
People are not wanting to sit on thousands of dollars if useless scrap metal any longer.
Majority of handgun owners are not affiliated with any organized disciplines, just weekend plinkers who's like to get some cash

I'many would jump at the chance for cash now and it's been under a year since buying and selling was stopped by Trudeau.

People need $$$$ more than they want their guns it seems

You can ##### about not getting top dollar for your gun but the reality is supply and demand. There is virtually no demand for the guns you wish to off load so why would a business give you top dollar for something they can't sell. If they can purchase from you more than likely they can still but brand new at wholesale.
